2019 Drum Cage

This is not a paid promotion.

This is just a short sample of the drum cage in use at Legacy Christian Church in Harrison Ohio.

The cage is made by drumperfect.

Our model is Drum Shield - DrumPerfect "Silencer" Performance Booth Concert 6 which sells for around $3100.

There is much debate over drum cages vs electronic drums vs playing dynamically (translation, always playing softly). Personally electronic drums feel dead (if you consider them having any feeling at all). I played on low end Rolands and high end Rolands for several years. I would take a low end acoustic kit any day over electronic drums. Put them in a cage and you can play as loud as you like. The biggest drawback is physical separation from the rest of the band and other people.

I have played a kit cage-free which is nice too, but when it's in a cage the sound person controls the volume so I, as the musician, am free to play dynamically (not always quiet in this case). I won't play apologetically anymore and I won't play an electronic kit. In summary, give me the cage and let me play.
