I'm Mike Mains and I would appreciate your consideration as I run for re-election for Harrison city council in 2021. I am currently serving in my first term, which began in January of 2018.
One of my major accomplishments while working on city council was finding a way to construct a sidewalk across the West Rd. overpass. This overpass was unfortunately the site of a pedestrian fatality in August of 2018 and a location where today many pedestrians cross back and forth between retail shopping establishments on one side and residential homes, the Junior High School and High School on the other. Working with the mayor, other councilmembers, our public works director and the city's engineering firm we secured 100% safety grant funding from ODOT. The project is scheduled to be finished in the fall of 2023.
