Peanut Blossoms by Great Grandma (Marie) Oller

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 c. Flour
• 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
• 1/2 c. Brown sugar
• 1 tsp. Baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
• 1/2 c. Shortening
• 1/2 c. Peanut butter
• 2 tbsp. Milk
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• 1 egg

Directions

• Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
• Mix at low speed until a dough forms.
• Shape dough into balls the size of a walnut.
• Roll balls in sugar.
• Place on untreated cookie sheets.
• Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
• Top each cookie with a chocolate kiss pressing down so cookie cracks around edge.
